Sunshine Quilt Guild of San Diego

What a fabulous time at a quilt guild. The gals took me out for a fab dinner at one of the best Coco's I have eaten at. I had soup and salad - {OK, time to watch the waistline}. Another gal ordered the fried green beans - a fab choice for those who need a little more fiber in the diet and love the taste of crisp green beans and Coco's ranch dressing.
Next we proceeded to the meeting place and I set up my quilts in order. My bag has gotten heavier or I need to work out with weights - yeah both. I'm getting a message here. I met the cutest lady from VA who is about 84 years old. Her dead husband is from the same area in West VA as my father-in-law. She lead us in a song about quilting which is old and cute. The business meeting took place and with the sharing of quilts. I saw some outstanding creative quilts. I was on next.
I love chatting about who got me into quilting and meeting the quilt police at another quilt guild a couple of years ago. I got a few oohs and ahs. After my lecture more signed up to take the constellation workshop. A few came up to apologize for not being able to take the workshop. Remember I teach at El Cajon Sew and Vac every third Sunday!
I enjoy thinking about the beautiful quilts I saw at the guild and the comments about my quilts as I drove the hour and 30 minutes home. Hwy 76 has 4 spots where one must wait at night because of construction or deconstruction. Read about it in this morning's paper. The company is ripping out invasive nonnative plants and replacing them with native plants to help the habitat come back.
Hope you had a wonderful couple of days!
