The San Diego Run is on and I'm here on the site working on the SCCQG site. I've posted 16 Opportunity quilts from 16 quilt guild. I enjoy the challenge working in HTML. To visit the site and see interesting quilts: www.sccqg.org.
I am slowly getting back into sewing a top. I found a quilt in a magazine that has 2 flying geese on each side of a block with a strip of background material in-between. The finished block then has the background blocks around it. I am using charm 5" squares with coordinating fabric. It looks very spring like. I did the math and am using Option 18 for the flying geese. I'll post it when I finish.
I have joined a friendship group in the El Camino Quilt Guild. I enjoyed my first meeting on Wednesday. The gals are so sweet and help each other. We talked about name tags and I said I would bring in fabric since I have bolts I would like to get used. I will bring in several colors to get us started. One of the gals will be bring in her embroidery machine and we'll have the names embroidered on the fabric. One gal suggested a more structured meeting such as making boxes. I like both ideas that I can come in and sew on my top or make something with everyone. I am looking forward to our next guild meeting.
I've had to start to prepare for me Meet The Teachers on April 9th. I've made reservations at a hotel to stay at the night before since it is more than 3 hours from my home. I've come up with 10 reasons to hire me. They are pretty cute! Still need to have some printing done for flyers.
