Workshops
The workshops listed are just a few of the many quilt tops that can be
learned in a session. It is the Options that are learned and through the
different Option one can make almost any quilt! Many of these quilts
may be found on the Quilt Gallery page. The newest book is Megan's
Miniatures is delightful. There are many quilts that are Option 39. The first 2 workshops are the most requested.
Workshops
- Options Class - Jodi created 39 Options. Jan created this workshop that is being taught all over the U. S. and Europe. The Square in a Square Options 1 - 17 are demoed and the student makes a book with the Options made that day. Some may only have the time to learn 1 - 4. Others may learn 1 - 17. It is up to the student how far to go. This is a very popular workshop.
- Constellation - This quilt top pattern comes with the Original Square in a Square®
ruler. Options 1 and 3 are learned. This is the easiest to start with
because Option 3 becomes the Flying Geese. Option 1 and 3 are considered
the basis for this system.
- Exploding
Star - Option 14 is explored in detail since that is all you need to
know for this quilt.Option 14 will be made in 2 sizes and 2 different
colors beside your background color fabric.
- Moody
Blues - Option 4 make this quilt easy compared to cutting all those
little triangles!Option 4 becomes pinwheels without cutting triangles.
- Sassy Star Table Runner - Options 9 & 10 create a delightful table runner. Make one for each holiday and the seasons too.
- Americana - Option 3 and plenty of strips make this one very easy and patriotic!
- Plum
Crazy (Crazy for Red) - Option 5 and a 9 patch makes this a memorable quilt to make and keep.
- Megan’s
Feathered Star - Looks so hard to make! However, Options 1, 3, 4, 5, 9,
10, 11, 14, 15, & 17 makes this a winner for everyone to learn.
- Ohio Star - Option 3 makes this block a breeze.
- Tumbling Blocks - are so easy with the Square in a Square® method.
- Prairie Claw - Option 3 makes this prairie claw. Make it scrappy using 30 different strips of fabric.
- Southern Skies - Options 1, 3, 6 make this advance looking quilt easy to mastered.
- Homestead Star - Options 3, 6, 18 are easily mastered.
- Pineapple Picnic - Option 12
- Megan's Sky - Option 39 is explored.
